Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Product Manager for IAM to drive the evolution of AWS Identity and Access Management, including related services like Access Analyzer, Sign-in, and STS. You will define IAM’s authentication/authorization roadmap and mentor junior PMs, collaborating with engineering and leadership across the company.

You will lead cross-functional teams, balance risk and business needs, and represent IAM in executive discussions while shaping the developer experience for AWS

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a Technical Product Manager.
• 5+ years of technical (software development, network, IT) experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products from concept to GTM.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Expertise in identity and SSO protocols including OIDC/OAuth, SAML and SCIM.

Agent guardrails, governance, task success rate are key requirements for customers operating in the cloud. We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive the evolution of AWS Identity and Access Management (including related services like Access Analyzer, Sign-in, and Security Token Service) as agents reshape the developer experience. In this role, you’ll define the roadmap for IAM's authentication and authorization technologies, risk classifications for agent actions, propagation of agent and human identities for downstream access control and auditing, an "on-behalf-of" mechanisms based on evolving industry-standard protocols.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with engineering, product, and executive leadership. You are an experienced product manager who understands the big picture, drives prioritization, rallies the team, and mentors junior product managers.

About the team

We’re the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. We build and operate one of the largest and most important software systems in the world – one that is used by every AWS customer, makes authentication and authorization decisions about every AWS API request, and needs to scale with all other AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
• 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Expertise in identity and SSO protocols including OIDC/OAuth, SAML, and SCIM

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
