Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Principal Product Manager to lead IAM evolution, including related services like Access Analyzer, Sign-in, and STS.

You’ll define the roadmap for authentication and authorization technologies and govern agent vs human identities for access control and auditing. You will collaborate across teams to balance customer needs with security constraints, drive risk decisions, and communicate strategy to AWS leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
• 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, or related) experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products end-to-end (concept to GTM).
• Experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Expertise in identity and SSO protocols including OIDC/OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.

Agent guardrails, governance, task success rate are key requirements for customers operating in the cloud. We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive the evolution of AWS Identity and Access Management (including related services like Access Analyzer, Sign-in, and Security Token Service) as agents reshape the developer experience. In this role, you'll define the roadmap for IAM's authentication and authorization technologies, risk classifications for agent actions, propagation of agent and human identities for downstream access control and auditing, an "on-behalf-of" mechanisms based on evolving industry-standard protocols.

About The Team

We’re the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. We build and operate one of the largest and most important software systems in the world – one that is used by every AWS customer, makes authentication and authorization decisions about every AWS API request, and needs to scale with all other AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

• Define product requirements for customer-facing cloud identity services

• MBA, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
