Job summary

Amazon's Alexa team is seeking a Product Management leader to define the end-to-end vision and strategy of the Alexa Skills Kit, the developer SDK and platform that lets third-party developers build skills for Alexa. You will work with developers to understand needs, create business requirements, and develop a long-term roadmap for tools, APIs, docs and developer support.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.

  • Experience with end to end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience technical product management.

  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

You will understand customer requirements and then be responsible for creating and driving product roadmaps and features. In this role you will work directly with third party developers to understand their needs and aspirations. You will create business requirements documents and develop a long-term roadmap for tools, APIs, documentation and developer support. Your goal will be to create an efficient 3rd party developer pipeline, following the developer all the way from education into having successful, certified skills.

A successful candidate will have strong passion for developers and experience in designing platform strategies. You have a background in software development and product management, specific to software platforms and ecosystems. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across multiple organizations, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that developers and customers love.
