Job summary

Hydrolix is seeking a seasoned product leader to shape a world-class data layer for security operations. You will define the market-ready SIEM offload and augmentation motions, prioritize agentic SecOps data needs, and guide MSSP partnerships to scale a differentiated security analytics platform.

The role requires experience across SIEM, SOAR, and log management, with a proven ability to translate complex market dynamics into actionable product strategy and cross-functional execution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product management, with at least 4 years working directly on security products (SIEM, SOAR, log management, XDR).
• Strong understanding of security buyers: CISOs, SOC teams, buying dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Own the security discovery process: customer interviews, sales ride-alongs, competitive analysis against leading SIEMs and security tools.
• Define the SIEM offload/augmentation motion: identify workflows and integrations needed with SIEMs and SOAR.
• Scope the agentic SecOps opportunity: determine data-layer requirements to support triage and investigations.

Job Description

Threat Detection Investigation and Response (TDIR) and SIEM tools price by ingest volume, so every security team makes the same tradeoff: only keep the most critical data, or pay a bill that doesn’t scale. Hydrolix can hold months of that data at a fraction of the cost, offloading the volume SIEMs can’t afford to retain and augmenting what they can query when an investigation needs history. On top of that data, today agentic SecOps — agents that detect, triage, correlate, and investigate without human intervention — need exactly what Hydrolix already does well: fast queries over massive, cheap-to-retain telemetry. Never throw out critical root cause data again.

Your job is to build a world class data layer for security operations and a differentiated roadmap to lead the market – The SIEM vendors and workflows to target first, the production positioning to augment against the incumbents, and which agentic SecOps product requirements are needed and should be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the security discovery process: customer interviews, sales ride-alongs, competitive analysis against Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, and Sumo Logic,Clickhouse, Scanner.dev synthesized into recommendations the team can act on
• Define the SIEM offload/augmentation motion: which workflows justify a customer bringing us in alongside their existing SIEM, and what integration (SIEM connectors, SOAR workflows, log forwarding pipelines) that requires
• Scope the agentic SecOps opportunity: what an agent needs from the data layer to triage and investigate, and where Hydrolix’s query performance is the unlock
• Lead and guide existing MSSP co-development partnership roadmap
• Partner with Corporate Development on large-scale security partnership opportunities and M+A and with Solutions Engineering to build narratives for security buyers who have never heard of us
• Work with Engineering to scope product investments — from small experiments to full feature bets — and write requirements that connect real customer problems to engineering decisions
• Engage deeply with go-to-market teams to align on positioning, messaging, and execution in the field

Qualifications and Skills

• 6+ years in product management, with at least 4 years working directly on security products — SIEM, SOAR, log management, XDR, Zero Trust or security analytics preferred
• Real familiarity with the security buyer: how CISOs and SOC teams evaluate tools, what they measure, and how they buy
• Familiarity and experience with the MSSP and MDR ecosystems
• Comfortable with ambiguity — this role requires building conviction from fresh evidence, not executing against a known roadmap
• Strong written communication; you turn complex market dynamics into crisp documents that engineers, executives, and salespeople can all use
• Technical enough to hold a substantive conversation about data pipelines, query performance, and log retention architecture; you don’t need to code, but you can’t be hand-wavy about the product

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, or Sumo Logic from a product or competitive intelligence perspective
• Experience with log management, observability, or network analytics products
• Experience growing a technical product from proven early success to a scalable market leader
