Job description

What You’ll Own

MM x Firm Strategy. Own the go-to-market and product strategy at the intersection of mid-market IES and large accounting firms — defining the ICP, the competitive positioning against mid-market ERP incumbents, and the build, buy, and partner decisions that sequence the roadmap.

Firm Solution Design. Own the end-to-end solution for firms managing mid-market clients — multi-entity workflows, consolidated reporting, dimensional CoA standardization, and the methodology layer that makes IES the operating standard across a firm’s entire mid-market book.

Migration & Onboarding at Scale. Own the strategy for compressing mid-market client migrations — giving firms a repeatable, scalable path to move complex clients onto IES without the manual rework that stalls adoption and erodes firm economics.

Portfolio Intelligence. Continuous monitoring that surfaces anomalies, compliance risks, and deadline exposure across a firm’s mid-market book — giving engagement teams the visibility to manage complexity without adding headcount.

ProAdvisor & Channel Strategy. Own the strategy for acquiring, activating, and retaining large firms as IES’s primary distribution channel — including the firm-tier benefits, certification pathways, and ecosystem integrations (Ramp, Fathom, Salesforce) that create structural lock-in at the mid-market.

Who You Are

You understand both sides of this market — how mid-market businesses operate financially and how large accounting firms manage, staff, and grow complex client engagements. You lead with strategy before roadmap — defining where IAS plays in the mid-market, how it wins against NetSuite and Sage, and what it takes for a large firm to standardize on IES across their book. You build AI-native solutions and think in channels — designing for firm intermediaries and building the partnerships that make Intuit structurally indispensable at the mid-market.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years in Product Management with a track record at the intersection of mid-market financial software and accounting firm channels — ideally at Intuit, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or a practice management platform serving mid-market clients
  • Strategic fluency: experience owning ICP definition, competitive positioning against mid-market ERP incumbents, and build/buy/partner decisions that compound over time
  • Mid-market financial depth: deep knowledge of multi-entity structures, consolidated reporting, dimensional accounting, and the complexity that defines a mid-market client engagement
  • Large firm workflow depth: understanding of how accounting firms staff, manage, and grow mid-market engagements — and the firm economics that drive platform adoption decisions
  • Agentic AI fluency: shipped LLM or agent-powered products in production; writes specs with objectives, confidence thresholds, and escalation logic
  • Channel and ecosystem fluency: experience building for accounting firm intermediaries and owning the partnerships and integrations that drive mid-market platform lock-in
Responsibilities
  • Define Intuit’s end-to-end strategy for accounting firms operating at the mid-market — the build, buy, and partner decisions, and the sequencing bets that determine how firms adopt IES as their standard when moving clients upmarket.
  • Build the methodology capture and codification engine — turning a firm’s partner-specific, tribal-knowledge approach to multi-entity consolidation, dimensional reporting, and compliance into a structured, reusable asset that survives staff rotation.
  • Design the deployment layer that lets a firm apply codified methodology consistently across its entire book — not just to the one client or engagement team that originated it.
  • Ship agentic capabilities that let a single engagement team manage multi-client, multi-entity complexity at firm scale, with confidence thresholds and escalation logic appropriate to compliance-sensitive, audit-relevant work.
  • Lead discovery directly with partners, engagement managers, and senior staff at target firms to understand where bespoke processes break down today and where codify-and-deploy creates the most leverage.
  • Own the migration strategy that moves a firm and its entire client book onto IES without data loss or disruption to active engagements — the structural advantage that makes a firm choose to standardize rather than continue improvising.
  • Define success metrics at the firm level (book-wide consistency, ramp time when engagement leads rotate, migration velocity across a firm’s clients) in addition to standard client-level adoption metrics, and drive the roadmap against them.
  • Partner with Sales, GTM, and the accounting-firm partnership team to convert firm-level adoption into a durable channel, ensuring the strategy reinforces rather than competes with direct mid-market acquisition.
  • Represent IAS in MPR, planning cycles, and executive reviews, communicating a 0→1 strategy with limited internal precedent clearly to senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in product management, with deep expertise in accounting/ERP software, practice management platforms, or B2B SaaS sold through or deployed by accounting firms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree (MBA or MAcc) a plus.
  • Firsthand knowledge of how large accounting firms operate a mid-market client book — engagement structures, partner/manager review hierarchies, multi-entity consolidation, dimensional reporting, and the staffing turnover that erodes firm methodology over time. Earned working with or inside firms, not learned in a spec.
  • Proven ability to ship LLM or agent-powered products in production — objectives, tool definitions, confidence thresholds, and escalation logic — with judgment for compliance-sensitive, audit-relevant workflows where trust must be earned incrementally.
  • Track record designing for a two-sided customer — solving simultaneously for a firm's operating model and its end mid-market clients' needs, without collapsing one into the other.
  • Working knowledge of core mid-market financial concepts: multi-entity consolidation, dimensional/custom-field reporting, multi-currency, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Experience architecting data migrations and bi-directional integrations as a strategic foundation, and evaluating build, buy, and partner tradeoffs with rigor.
  • Proven ability to influence across Engineering, Design, Sales, and GTM partnership teams, and to anticipate shifts in the competitive accounting-software landscape before they surface in win/loss data.
  • Strong executive presence and written communication skills; comfortable representing a greenfield, channel-defining bet to senior leadership.
