AI at Cvent: Leading the Future

Are you ready to shape the future of work at the intersection of human expertise and AI innovation? At Cvent, we’re committed to continuous learning and adaptation—AI isn’t just a tool for us, it’s part of our DNA. We’re looking for candidates who are eager to evolve alongside technology. If you love to experiment boldly, share your discoveries, and help define best practices for AI-augmented work, you’ll thrive here. Our team values professionals who thoughtfully integrate AI into their daily work, delivering exceptional results while relying on the human judgment and creativity that drive real innovation.

Throughout our interview process, you’ll have the chance to demonstrate how you use AI to learn, iterate, and amplify your impact. If you’re excited to be part of a team that’s leading the way in AI-powered collaboration, we’d love to meet you.

We’re seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead Cvent’s most complex, ambiguous, and strategically critical product challenges—the ones that cut across teams, time horizons, and organizational boundaries. This is not a people-management role; it’s a high-impact thought‑leadership and execution role for a seasoned product leader who thrives in uncharted territory and reliably drives company‑defining initiatives from discovery through measurable impact.

In this role, you’ll shape the future of Cvent’s product portfolio by modeling future‑state experiences, establishing new product frameworks, and guiding the direction of multiple squads without formal authority. You’ll partner closely with executives, engineering leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to explore new business models, unlock greenfield opportunities, and provide the architectural and product vision that moves the company forward.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Tackle Cvent’s most exciting and complex product opportunities—spanning multiple teams, product lines, and multi-quarter roadmaps and bring clear vision, structure, and forward momentum to turn them into impactful results.
  • Own and drive company-critical discovery programs where the path forward is undefined; establish the frameworks and decision‑making processes others will follow.
  • Model future‑state product experiences and explore new business models that expand Cvent's market position and revenue potential.
  • Provide architectural and product vision that influences strategy across multiple squads; serve as a connective force across organizational boundaries.
  • Define and track outcome‑based metrics for strategic initiatives; demonstrate the business impact of product investments through rigorous thought leadership and analysis.
  • Mentor and advise senior leaders and executives on product strategy, market dynamics, and innovation opportunities.
  • Evaluate and establish 3rd party partnerships and complementary vendor solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Meet with clients, prospects, and industry leaders to gather direct insight and validate strategic direction.
  • Perform deep competitive and market analysis; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives across global, cross‑functional teams — navigating time zones, cultural contexts, and organizational complexity to drive alignment and execution at scale.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level Product Managers globally, sharing frameworks, instilling product thinking best practices, and helping grow the next generation of product talent across Cvent's distributed teams.
Here’s What You Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently leading high-stakes, strategic initiatives from discovery to measurable outcomes — without relying on direct authority or a dedicated team.
  • Visionary product thinker with the ability to model future‑state experiences and define new strategic frameworks from scratch.
  • Exceptional executive presence and interpersonal skills; comfortable advising and influencing C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Ability to drive cross‑organizational alignment and influence without formal authority across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred, familiarity with event technology or adjacent markets a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, copilots, LLM‑powered workflows) to accelerate discovery, research, and product decision making.
  • Experience evaluating AI-powered features and solutions as both a product builder and strategic thinker; ability to assess where AI creates genuine user value versus surface‑level novelty.
