Job Summary:

We are seeking a Principal Product Engineer focused on Server Clusters. The role involves designing cluster-level hardware solutions using existing server models and planning new solutions with upcoming server models. This position is based at our headquarters in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Configure clusters for new server models and engage with customers early in the process.
  2. Provide solutions and BOMs for customer cluster requests such as RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  3. Predict cluster performance and define workload benchmarks and tests.
  4. Prepare detailed cluster documentation.
  5. Provide training and promote Cluster products.
  6. Collaborate with vendors on cluster development, testing, and promotion.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related fields, or 17 years of relevant industry experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience with Intel/AMD/Nvidia CPU/GPU/DPU server platforms, focusing on performance optimization, design, prediction, and calculation.
  • Familiarity with Intel/AMD/Nvidia technical services.
  • Knowledge of memory, storage devices, file systems, Ethernet applications, and performance prediction/scaling.
  • Experience with HPC/cluster/server workloads, benchmarking, AI, finance, government, enterprise, CFD, Nvidia solutions, etc.
  • Ability to develop solutions for customer RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Ability to work independently with customers and collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Engagement with customers at various levels, including early involvement in new product development.
  • Experience with large cluster hardware configuration and deployment is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Salary Range:

$194,000 - $210,000. Compensation depends on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors. Benefits include a comprehensive package, with potential bonuses and equity awards.
