The Anywhere UX team is a rapidly growing and evolving team, positioned as a thought leader in the company. We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal UX Designer to join us and revolutionize how people interact with real estate technology. As a Principal Designer at Anywhere Real Estate, you will lead the design of innovative software that streamlines processes for agents and brokers. Your visionary leadership will elevate the design team, creating applications that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and profitable.

Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership: Lead development of design concepts aligning with Anywhere Real Estate's vision and market trends. Provide expert guidance on design decisions, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation. Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to foster creativity.
2. Design Excellence: Oversee multiple projects from start to finish. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables collaboratively.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with partners, understanding their needs and translating them into compelling design solutions. Present proposals and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
4. Mentorship: Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to support their growth. Promote continuous learning and staying updated with design trends.
5. UX Research: Collaborate with UX research teams to incorporate user insights into designs. Use research to inform and validate design concepts, advocating for user-centered principles.
6. Design Operations (DesignOps): Work with program management to develop strategies that streamline workflows. Manage design tools and resources, establish metrics to measure impact, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in designing web and mobile user experiences, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, etc.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Knowledge of current UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Advocacy for accessibility and inclusive design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of presenting and defending design strategies.
