Bezos Academy in Seattle, WA is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead the design of educational products for young children, teachers, and families. This role focuses on crafting intuitive experiences that nurture early learning through innovative design.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in digital product design, a strong portfolio, and expertise in tools like Figma. This position offers a starting salary ranging from $157,000 to $298,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
At Bezos Academy, we believe all children deserve the great start that excellent early education provides, including in under‑resourced communities. Our mission is to nurture the potential in every child to become a creative leader, original thinker, and lifelong learner by inventing the solutions needed to scale early childhood education and to pioneer the space where technology and preschool converge. We are a unique organization that operates a multi‑state network of Montessori‑inspired preschools in under‑resourced communities while also investing in creating tools, products, technology, and other solutions designed to reach children well beyond the walls of our schools. We aspire for profound, large‑scale impact on children ages zero to five.
As Principal Product Designer, you will lead the design of end‑to‑end experiences of new products that support young children, their teachers, and their families. You will guide design from concept to launch, crafting intuitive, responsive experiences grounded in empathy and deep user insight. Your work will nurture early learning and empower teachers and families, while sparking joy and expanding access to high‑quality developmental support during the most important years of a child’s growth.
Washington, Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, or Texas, within two hours’ drive to multiple Bezos Academy preschools (see our website for school locations). Seattle, WA preferred. Relocation support is available for those willing to relocate to Seattle, WA.
