Job summary

SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. is seeking a senior testing/validation professional in San Jose, CA, to oversee enterprise PCIe/NVMe validation and system-level testing.

The role focuses on coordinating with SOC, FW, and HW teams to ensure design compliance and robust performance across memory technologies. The candidate will leverage deep storage expertise (PCIe, NVMe, NAND), Linux kernel knowledge, and strong debugging skills to deliver high-quality products and support customer needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years storage-related experience with BS, or 5+ years with MS.
• Proficient in PCIe, NVMe, NAND; Linux kernel knowledge a plus.
• Strong understanding of storage architectures and system-level debugging.
• Experience with bus analyzers and trace evaluation tools required.
• Programming in Python, C and C++ is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing progress, identify issues, and report findings to meet design specs and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with SOC, FW, and HW teams to address challenges.

About The Team

At SK hynix, our team's dedication to advancing enterprise SSD technologies through rigorous PCIe NVMe validation and testing has established us as industry leaders. Our focus on system-level tests, feature validation, and meticulous bug analysis underpins the reliability of our products. With expertise in testing and debugging embedded systems, we ensure that our enterprise PCIe NVMe SSD products meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the progress of testing, identify potential issues, and report findings to ensure compliance with design specifications, as well as with customer standards and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with other teams, including SOC, FW, and HW, to address and resolve product challenges.
• Implement coordinated efforts to debug system issues, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.
• Foster open communication channels to facilitate efficient problem-solving and enhance the overall product quality.
• Provide customer support. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining clear communication and prompt responses.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with 8+ years of storage-related experience, OR M.S. in CS, CE, or related field with 5+ years of storage-related experience is required.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in PCIe protocol, NVMe, and NAND is required.
• Knowledge of Linux Kernel and drivers is a plus.
• Strong understanding of storage architectures and system-level debugging is also beneficial. Experience with bus analyzers and trace evaluation tools is required.

Programming Proficiency

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as python, C and C++ is required.

COMPENSATION: $145,000/yr - $205,000/yr
