Principal Process Engineer - Utilities & Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Process Engineer in the field of Utilities and Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of our utilities and infrastructure systems on the new greenfield site in Rome, NY. This role requires a deep understanding of Utility systems design and operation. The role will work in partnership with the Capital Project Manager responsible for the construction of the Utilities systems.

Responsibilities
  • Process Design and Development: Lead the design and development of efficient and sustainable utilities and infrastructure systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including construction, operations, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of process engineering solutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with process engineering projects, ensuring safety and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of process designs, specifications, and project progress.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to equipment vendors and other Chobani sites
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on utilities and infrastructure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools, and other relevant engineering applications.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, mentorship, and conflict resolution.
