Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Principal Engineer to own the technical strategy and delivery of a next‑gen test environment platform for a 10,000‑engineer organization. You will enable per‑PR isolated environments, orchestration of services, and fast, reliable integration tests at scale across hybrid cloud and on‑premises.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing environment‑as‑a‑service and large infrastructure orchestration.
• Proficiency in traffic isolation, service mesh, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Architect composable virtual environment platform for per‑PR test sessions.
• Design traffic routing and isolation across multiple services.
• Build dependency graph to manage live vs baseline vs virtualized services.
• Deliver self‑service developer experience via CLI, API, and portal.
• Define data strategies including synthetic data, masking, and datasets.
• Implement lifecycle, cost governance, and FinOps reporting.
• Integrate platform into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, Argo CD).
• Ensure reliability across hybrid infra with Kubernetes, EKS, and on‑premises.
• Establish platform SLOs, observability, and runbooks.
• Guide adoption of agentic AI‑enabled workflows with governance.
• Apply enterprise‑grade security and data sensitivity controls.
