Job summary

UKG seeks a Senior Platform Architect to define and evolve the architecture for HCM foundation services supporting HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Pay, and other teams. You will drive decisions across shared services, APIs, data models, and platform libraries to ensure high availability, security, and compliance.

You will lead reviews, set standards, and collaborate with multiple product teams to enable scalable, observable systems using .NET Core and event-driven patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior staff or principal level.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems using .NET Core and modern backend architectures.
• Experience leading cross-team architectural initiatives with significant business impact.
• Proven ability to set architectural standards and drive adoption across multiple teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering or partnering with AI/Data teams to productionize capabilities.
• Experience with highly regulated enterprise systems (HR/ payroll/ benefits) and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for HCM foundation services across HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Pay, and other teams.
• Drive architectural decisions across shared services, APIs, data access, platform libraries, build systems, and integrations.
• Ensure high availability, correctness, scalability, observability, security, auditability, and compliance.
• Lead architecture and design reviews; set standards for system design, code quality, and operational readiness.
• Build and evolve reusable platform capabilities and secure APIs; enable cross-team adoption.
