Job summary

The Rochester, NH manufacturing plant of a 250-year-old brand-name leader seeks a Principal Planner to drive cross-functional supply chain planning. You will own master scheduling, inventory planning, and release of work orders with Operations and Manufacturing, ensuring contractual commitments are met.

You will leverage multi-system data to deliver analytics, train the Planning team, and lead continuous improvement while upholding ISO and safety standards. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with MRP and planning signals in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Oracle EBS and ASCP and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage critical supply chain deadlines, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and commitments.
  • Drive accuracy of MRP signals to support production and inventory flow; ensure policy compliance.
  • Partner with Operations and Production to resolve issues and keep manufacturing on track.
  • Monitor schedules, track performance, and mitigate risks to delivery timelines.
  • Identify end-of-life inventory and liabilities; manage new product implementations for programs.
  • Leverage data from multiple systems to deliver analytics to leadership and train others.
  • Act as escalation point within Planning; drive cross-functional solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide guidance and training on Oracle ASCP to elevate planning capabilities.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards; follow Safety and ISO procedures.

HOW YOU WILL HAVE IMPACT

The Principal Planner partners cross-functionally across the organization—most notably with Operations—and is responsible for managing and aligning all facets of Supply Chain (master scheduling, inventory planning, releasing and prioritizing work orders with Operations and Manufacturing) while also maintaining, coordinating, and strategizing for contractual commitments and deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
  • Own and manage critical supply chain deadlines, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and contractual commitments.
  • Drive accuracy and effectiveness of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) signals to support seamless production and inventory flow and remain fully compliant with internal policies and customer requirements.
  • Partner with Operations and Production to resolve issues, remove constraints, and keep manufacturing on track.
  • Monitor schedules, track performance, and proactively mitigate risks to delivery timelines.
  • Identify and manage end-of-life inventory and PO or work order liability and new product implementations for the program(s) with no supervision.
  • Leverage data from multiple systems to deliver clear analytics and insights to leadership. Provide assistance and training to others within the Planning team on where to go for data and the most efficient means of putting together analytics.
  • Act as a key escalation point within Planning, influencing decisions and driving cross-functional solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall supply chain performance.
  • Provide guidance and training on Oracle ASCP to elevate planning capabilities across the team.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will consider equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working for a global company in a production/manufacturing environment. Experience in at least one of the following industries preferred: machining plant, defense contractor, aerospace company, retailer, and/or bioscience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), including the ability to evaluate and maintain accurate planning signals while ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.
  • APICS certification would be a plus.
  • Proficiency with a top-tier ERP System, preferably Oracle EBS, including ASCP.
  • Comfortable training others on all relevant aspects of manufacturing and Office applications.
  • Prior work in an Agile environment.
  • Comfortable with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
  • Able to operate independently at a high level and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Currently reside within a reasonable daily commute to Rochester, NH or be willing to relocate upon hire with company assistance. Preference given to local candidates and those in closer to NH.
  • Able to successfully pass a drug and background check.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident. (due to nature the company's industry and government regulations)
