Principal Pharmacist Production and Aseptic Services

ABUHB Pharmacy are pleased to offer the opportunity to seek applications for a motivated and visionary individual to join us as the Principal Pharmacist in Production and Aseptic Services.

This is a key leadership position where you will manage and oversee our production and aseptic services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant products for our patients. You will lead a talented and dedicated team, working collaboratively to advance our services, drive innovation, and maintain adherence to regulatory standards.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Production/Aseptic services based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, manufacturing pharmaceutical products for patient use across all ABUHB sites.
  • Manage, plan and develop the service, in-line with the operational strategy developed in conjunction with the Head of Pharmacy, Operational Services, delivering service through management and oversight of appropriate professional and technical staff.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal/external to ABUHB, including staff, patients, carers and support groups.

Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant guidelines.
