Job summary

Blue Shield of California seeks a Pharmacist, Principal to lead drug and therapeutic class reviews, evaluating clinical evidence and budget impact to support formulary decision making. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop pharmacoeconomic assessments aligned with the formulary strategy.

The role requires a PharmD, active CA RPh license, and at least four years of clinical pharmacy experience; managed care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Requires an active California Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in good standing.
• Requires 4 years of experience in clinical pharmacy.
• Experience working in a managed care setting and direct client and provider interface is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and capabilities.
• Thorough clinical knowledge regarding the therapeutic use of drugs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project or program management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in a hybrid environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
