Job summary

Mission Driven Research, Inc. seeks a Principal Engineer to oversee target system payloads and countermeasure development.

You will advise the program office on prime contractor designs, technical plans, and instrumentation layouts, acting as a technical anchor through System Requirements, PDR, CDR, and other milestones. You will collaborate with modeling teams, cost analysts, schedulers, and multiple organizations to ensure requirements are met on time.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 12+ years of supporting missile defense or large-scale DoD programs.
• Experience managing end-to-end program lifecycles including development, testing, and fielding of complex systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight and design assessment for target system payloads and countermeasures.
• Independently evaluate prime contractor designs, plans, reports, and procedures.
• Evaluate target instrumentation layouts, components, and testing methodologies.
