Responsibilities
  • Principal Network SME for the USAF Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) Contract.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend potential technology/performance enhancements and information system upgrades for lifecycle sustainment, security, and operational improvements.
  • Plan, design, architect, engineer, and submit Implementation/Design Packages (IDP), Bill of Materials (BOM), and network designs for modernized USAF Base Area Networks (BAN), including Core, Distribution, Access, and Datacenter switching solutions, Wi-Fi, NAC, and Private 5G solutions.
  • Design, implement, integrate, and sustain infrastructure with legacy and cloud-based applications, including COTS and modernization efforts.
  • Integrate and sustain data backup solutions and data warehouses for legacy and cloud-based applications.
  • Design, implement, and sustain automated network testing infrastructure.
  • Develop Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery plans and participate in exercises.
  • Ensure designs conform to BAN Reference Architecture, DoD/agency security requirements, and DISA STIGs.
  • Provide planning, design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support for NIPRnet and SIPRNet infrastructure and supporting systems.
  • Create and update design drawings.
  • Support vulnerability management and infrastructure projects for classified and unclassified environments.
  • Provide network/system engineering support for deployed survey and installation teams.
  • Act as escalation point for Task Order Network Engineering and NOC teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years supporting Network Design, Architecture, Vendor Analysis, Implementation, Accreditation, and Sustainment activities.
  • Willingness to obtain or hold a Secret clearance.
Certifications
  • Active DoD IAT II or higher certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Cisco CCIE or equivalent.
Additional Information

Location: Telework with some travel to Hanscom AFB, MA. Remote environment. Schedule: Day shift, with potential evening/weekend work. Travel: Less than 50%.
