Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks an Infrastructure Network Planner in the Global Network Planning Group to expand next-generation cloud services. You will leverage strong fiber provider relationships to shape data center fiber strategy, market presence, and OCI growth.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate connectivity agreements, develop TCO models, and document recommendations for technical leadership and executives.

Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years of experience in telecom, data center, or cloud infrastructure with network planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of Internet interconnection, submarine cables, wavelengths, and fiber.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, services, and industry trends.
  • Experience in data center site selection and evaluation processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills for fiber agreements, IP transit, wavelengths, and dark fiber contracts.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling for deal evaluation and TCO analysis.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence.
  • Willingness to travel for site due diligence and industry conferences.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on creating win-win scenarios in long-term partnerships.

  • The ability to document your decisions and recommendations to internal technical leadership as well as VPs and SVPs.

Job description

As a Infrastructure Network Planner for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you'll play a crucial role in expanding and scaling our next-generation cloud services. You'll be part of the Global Network Planning Group, making strategic decisions that shape our network infrastructure, data center fiber strategy, and market presence. This position will have you leverage your strong relationships with fiber providers, which is crucial for OCI's growth and operational efficiency. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 - $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
