Job summary

MediSolution is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise network and security environments across on-prem, cloud, data center, and hybrid setups.

You will lead advanced routing and security, mentor engineers, and drive network modernization initiatives with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance in a remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking and network security.
• Strong experience with LAN/WAN, cloud networking, data center, SD-WAN, and hybrid environments.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, network security, and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Experience with enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring tools.
• Strong experience troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues.
• Experience leading network projects and providing technical leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support scalable and highly available LAN, WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid network environments.
• Provide advanced technical expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VXLAN/EVPN, VPN, QoS, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement and support Azure/cloud networking and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Lead complex network troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in network architecture, technology evaluation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain network standards, configuration templates, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Implement network security, segmentation, resiliency, and performance improvements.
• Analyze network performance, capacity, and traffic patterns and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Operations teams on complex technical solutions.
• Work with network vendors, carriers, and technology partners to resolve technical issues and deliver network solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network engineers.
• Support large-scale network projects from design through implementation and operational handoff.
