ZipStaff is seeking a Principal Network Solutions Architect to lead an enterprise-grade network program in Washington, DC, delivering future-state architecture across complex environments.

The role bridges business strategy with technical execution, guiding design reviews, negotiations, and deployment, while ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructure across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years in IT including network operations, architecture and engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise routing and switching with BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
• Proven track record delivering multi-million dollar, large-scale network programs.
• Experience presenting technical vision to engineers and executives.
• On-site work in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of future-state enterprise network architecture aligned with business strategy.
• Drive network solutioning across all phases—from strategy to deployment.
• Provide technical guidance and gain cross-functional buy-in for designs.
• Create detailed design documentation (network topologies, heatmaps, SOWs, BOMs) for CapEx projects.
• Design high-performing, secure network infrastructures using routing, switching, wireless, and cellular tech.
