Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Principal Network Architect to lead SRE-style development for Akamai's global connectivity platform. You will architect scalable infrastructure, drive automation, and mentor engineering teams across the organization.

To be successful, you should have 15 years of experience, a BS in CS/CE, 10+ years in network and software engineering, and expert skills in Python, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Source of Truth platforms.

In this principal role, you will guide software development and reliability engineering to align, exceed and define industry standards. You will architect scalable infrastructure, eliminate manual toil, and mentor engineering teams across the organization.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $159,600 - $287,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
