Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead design and deployment of global network infrastructure. You will architect, document, and support solutions, partnering with vendors to scale points of presence worldwide and define standards for deployments and documentation.

You possess 12+ years of complex network experience, deep routing protocol knowledge, and hands-on automation expertise to drive large-scale traffic engineering and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 12 years relevant experience in complex networks and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent experience
• Expert level experience building and deploying infrastructure, automation tooling and distributed systems that handle large scale network traffic
• Demonstrate expert technical knowledge of core routing protocols, including BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and Segment Routing for global traffic engineering
• Possess Juniper hardware and software expertise
• Demonstrate technical and commercial knowledge of Internet network topology and architecture, IP routing, and CDN platforms
• Be a highly organized self-starter who is comfortable working with cross-functional teams

The Network Architecture team is a highly skilled group that works on various technologies to architect, design, build, scale and maintain network infrastructure in support of Akamai's global platform.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 - $250,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
