GameStop is looking for a Principal Mobile Application Engineer. This role will collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners distributed across the U.S. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain a new, highly scalable application that will delight millions of GameStop customers. The ideal candidate will be customer-obsessed, highly collaborative, and passionate about creating customer experiences that are both frictionless and delightful. This position will sit on-site in Grapevine, TX.
Responsibilities
- Deliver highly scalable customer-facing products and features, used by millions of GameStop customers.
- Participate in and provide input to technical decisions. Refine our app frameworks, processes, and standards.
- Write scalable, performant, readable, and tested code. Monitor, track, and optimize performance on an ongoing basis.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and more junior engineers.
- Use data to provide input to prioritization decisions.
- Thrive in an ambiguous environment, be resourceful, and make tradeoffs to deliver customer impact.
- Exhibit a bias for action, constantly looking for ways to improve the customer experience.
- Establish strong working relationships across all levels and functions of the organization.
- Ensure all deadlines are met and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
- Deep technical expertise working on consumer facing mobile applications at scale.
- Demonstrated organizational-wide impacting experience building both iOS and Android consumer facing applications at scale.
- 10+ years in overall software engineering design and development experience.
- 5+ years in design and development of Ecommerce or Marketplace Applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Bonus points if you’ve developed auction software at scale in the past.
