Job summary

Target is seeking a Principal Engineer for the AI Platforms group to define the long-term architecture of the enterprise ML Operations Platform and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, and security.

You will drive scalable, secure cloud-native infrastructure for training, deployment and real-time inference, while advancing governance, observability and reliability across the ML lifecycle.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive experience designing cloud-native platforms and ML platforms.
• Strong knowledge of ML lifecycle, deployment, observability.
• Experience with Vertex AI, Kubeflow, MLflow or similar.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term architecture for the ML Operations Platform.
• Design scalable cloud-native platforms for ML workloads.
• Lead governance, observability, and deployment strategies.
• Mentor engineers and guide multi-team architecture.
• Collaborate with security and data science teams.
