Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the Platform Integrity Engineering team in Seattle. You will design and scale ML systems to protect Snapchatters from harmful content and automate moderation.

You will collaborate with leadership to advance the ML stack, drive scalable solutions, and ensure privacy-centric, compliant practices across the product ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/Math/Stats or equivalent years of experience.
• 9+ years post-Bachelor ML experience, or Master’s +8+ years, or PhD +5+ years.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or domain-expert experience.
• Experience developing and shipping scalable ML models.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale ML models and systems to protect Snapchatters from harmful content and bad actors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ML strategies with company objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with ML tech and apply to tackle complex problems.
• Lead ML tech stack improvements and boost organizational performance.
• Work with product teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Advocate for availability, scalability, and cost-management best practices.
• Provide technical direction influencing the ML community.
