Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Amgen Dun Laoghaire Project Delivery Lead

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will be part of Amgen's manufacturing plant in Ireland. The facility continues to implement new technologies and Industry 4.0 capabilities. You may also support projects at other Amgen facilities.

  • Lead the execution and successful delivery of a varied portfolio of IS/Automation projects with appropriate planning, resource and risk management, and financial oversight.
  • Be accountable for end-to-end technology project delivery, from business case creation to qualification and manufacturing go-live. This includes scope definition, technical leadership, budgeting, vendor engagement, and reporting.
  • Anticipate, evaluate, and resolve multiple, simultaneous project issues, delays, and problems using technical, project management, and business expertise.
  • Perform cross-system and feasibility analyses, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, and recommend optimal solutions. Manage multiple initiatives and priorities effectively.
  • Translate strategic opportunities and emerging technologies into pragmatic, executable plans aligned with corporate standards and local business needs.
  • Manage relationships with peers, IS service owners, business partners, enterprise IS service teams, and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively across organizational levels, highlighting issues and proposing solutions.
  • Elicit and analyze business stakeholder needs and convert them into functional designs.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate in Engineering with 2 years of combined IS and Manufacturing Process Automation experience, or

Master’s in Engineering with 4 years of experience, or

Bachelor’s in Engineering with 6 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer, or Software GMP-regulated industry, with project and resource leadership experience.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ in Pharma/Biotech industries.
