Spreetail seeks a Principal Financial Analyst, Merchandising finance to serve as a critical analytical partner to Merchandising and Category leadership, shaping pricing, promotions, assortment, and category profitability. This is an SQL-intensive role built for someone who thrives on hands-on data work and influencing commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with Merchandising/Commercial leadership on pricing, promotions, and assortment.
• Hands-on PVM analysis and model-building from the ground up.
• Extensive SQL knowledge and ability to query large datasets (Snowflake or equivalent).
• End-to-end financial support for new SKU/brand launches including forecasting and margin modeling.
• Experience evaluating marketing spend and incrementality with ROI focus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver decision-ready insights to senior stakeholders.
• Lead financial modeling, PVM analysis, and scenario planning to improve margins and inventory.
• Build automated, scalable reporting infrastructure with Power BI and Excel.
• Own the analytical approach for new product launches and assortment decisions.
• Partner with Marketing and FP&A to assess trade-offs and downstream impacts.
