Responsibilities
  • Publication Strategy & Planning: Execute scientific communication plans efficiently and effectively; assist in developing scientific messaging and maintaining Scientific Communication Platforms; facilitate alignment across teams to unify messaging and strategies; identify and address gaps; develop expert knowledge of product and disease-specific literature; conduct literature and gap analyses to support strategies.
  • Publication Content Creation: Research, draft, and edit scientific and medical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations; review statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing specifications for accuracy and consistency; manage agencies/contract writers and designers as needed; ensure all communications meet high standards of medical and scientific integrity; adhere to ICMJE and GPP 2022 guidelines and SOPs; assist with publication development database maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Other Responsibilities: Respond to inquiries regarding scientific communications; participate in cross-functional meetings; provide budget support; train, mentor, and consult with employees; serve as a subject matter expert; lead less experienced writers on complex projects; travel less than 25% as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in scientific communications, publication planning and/or medical writing; strong English grammar with familiarity with AMA style guide.
  • Experience in rare metabolic conditions is an advantage.
  • Understanding of FDA and ICH regulations and guidelines preferred.
  • Strong presentation, proofreading, interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Internet.
  • Ability to interpret and present clinical data and complex information.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $175,700.00

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency.

Benefits may include health benefits (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) with company match, eligibility to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, bonuses/commissions based on performance, and flexible PTO. Paid sick time varies by location in accordance with applicable laws.
