In this role, you will be considered a scientifically and/or medically credentialed therapeutic and/or disease expert who engages in bi-directional exchange of scientific/medical information with external parties, including physicians and other healthcare providers (HCPs). You will provide key insights to internal company stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Development, Commercial) based on their communications with the scientific and healthcare payor communities. Additionally, you may contribute to providing information on research developments and new concepts in medical treatment, supporting field activities related to existing products and new product launches.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a strategic medical and scientific resource
  • Develop scientific communications and materials supporting product information, identifying clinical insights and knowledge gaps, and articulating the impact of findings.
  • Maintain strong scientific knowledge of the current competitive landscape and messaging.
  • Present clinical data to healthcare professionals, including physicians, researchers, and academic institutions.
  • Provide approved information to ensure access to current medical and scientific data.
  • Assist or lead speaker bureau or online training programs.
  • Support advisory events to ensure accuracy and clinician access to up-to-date data.
  • Develop and implement podium and publication strategies
    • Plan and execute strategies aligned with key product messaging.
    • Assist in manuscript writing following ICJME guidelines.
    • Prepare KOLs for presentations and oversee research study publications.
    • Analyze study data to create scientific communications.
    • Determine appropriate conference and journal submissions.
  • Establish and maintain credible peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and customers
    • Attend scientific congresses and report relevant information.
    • Gather field medical intelligence and insights.
    • Support peer-to-peer education programs and facilitate KOL involvement in educational forums.
    • Build relationships with scientific societies to disseminate evidence effectively.
  • Oversee educational and research grant processes
  • Manage unsolicited information requests about off-label products or indications
  • Qualifications:

    • Advanced Clinical/Science degree or professional credentials (NP, MD, PhD, PharmD, or scientific background) recommended.
    • 10+ years of field-based MSL experience or relevant industry experience.
    • Knowledge of the US Healthcare System, FDA regulations, and industry standards (ACCME, ICMJE).
