Job summary

SCRAM Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical aspects of portable electronics and related devices in an on-site role in Greenwood Village, CO. You will generate 3D models and drawings, drive design decisions, and mentor junior engineers.

You will coordinate across teams, perform tolerance analysis, and contribute to product cost reductions while ensuring regulatory and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Solidworks CAD for 3D and 2D drawings.
• Experience with injection molded plastic parts and GD&T.
• Ability to design complex assemblies with electrical integration.
• Strong tolerance analysis and design verification experience.
• Experience with Stage-Gate PD processes.
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical aspects of portable electronics and medical devices.
• Create 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings using Solidworks.
• Lead multi-team collaboration to align technical initiatives with business goals.
• Mentor and drive the technical skills of the team.
• Perform design validation and verification per Product Development Process.
