About the

EHS Support is looking for a Principal Marine Consultant to join our Australia team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex approvals, and guide clients through high-profile projects. With access to AES’s and EHS Support’s national approvals community, you’ll work on both local and international projects that make a difference. You will work closely with the AES / EHS Support senior leadership to help realize the vision of AES / EHS Support being recognized as a top-tier provider of primary and secondary approvals across diverse industries.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development.
  2. Develop new service delivery lines leveraging your skills and expertise alongside the existing AES / EHS team.
  3. Assist in delivering a high-performing national approvals team.
  4. Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes.
  5. Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  6. Mentor junior and mid-level consultants to enhance their expertise in environmental approvals.
  7. Foster collaboration within AES and EHS Support’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental approvals, both primary and secondary.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
  • Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous.
  • Experience within the oil and gas, offshore, or onshore sectors is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
