Job description

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitations at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries — AI & cloud computing, electric vehicle power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless technologies. We have produced the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and aim to put a diamond behind every chip. As a rapidly growing, profitable unicorn with $515 million in funding, we are executing a multi-billion dollar expansion plan to convert greenhouse gases into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead our team at the Fremont location. This key leadership role involves driving manufacturing excellence, ensuring reliable production processes, and providing technical guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing process optimization and equipment engineering, with responsibilities including developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures, as well as mentoring teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead projects to optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and overall efficiency.
  2. Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment for new and existing products.
  3. Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and equipment documentation.
  4. Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and equipment issues, leading to effective solutions.
  5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience in manufacturing and equipment engineering.
  2. Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process optimization, and data analysis.
  3. Proven experience in developing and implementing manufacturing procedures and SOPs.
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring technical teams.
  5. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Salary range: $120,000 - $170,000 annually. The position is eligible for company shares. Compensation may vary based on experience, duties, and location. Higher-level candidates may be considered with salary adjustments.
