Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal and Sr. Principal Manufacturing Analyst in Elkridge, MD to manage end-to-end production planning, materials, and supplier collaboration within a depot-focused environment.

The role requires a strong background in MRP/ERP, SAP metrics, and data analysis, with leadership capabilities and U.S. citizenship. Candidates should be prepared to operate within a tight schedule while maintaining security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Manufacturing/related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and data analysis in MS Excel.
• APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and drive the timely flow of product through Manufacturing to meet delivery requirements.
• Manage schedule status and visibility of hardware from kit conversion to delivery.
• Collaborate with suppliers, MRP, manufacturing, and program/ops management to meet metrics.
• Analyze SAP/MRP data, aging orders, shortages, and material flow to resolve issues.
• Determine stock availability and procure non-standard parts; create acquisition requests.
• Review depletion analyses for spare/repair parts and equipment positioning.
• Monitor asset locations and customer inventories including Government Furnished Equipment.
• Support DOD and commercial customers in a depot environment.
• Support cross-functional Production/Sustainment processes and teams.

is looking for you to join our Life Cycle Sustainment Organization (LCSO) Team as a Principal Manufacturing Analyst / Sr. Principal Manufacturing Analyst based out of Elkridge, MD.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Plan, organize, and drive the timely flow of product through Manufacturing to support internal and external customer delivery requirements
• Manage and provide schedule status and visibility of hardware for assigned programs, from the time of initial kit conversion, through manufacturing process, to delivery of hardware to internal and/or external customers
• Collaborate with suppliers, MRP group, manufacturing, program management, and operations management to ensure performance metrics are met and reported to leadership monthly. (on time to release, maintaining last touch average of 15 days, out of cycle average age under 75 days, quality, cost, on time to delivery, etc.)
• Utilize Tableau and other systems to analyze and maintain SAP metric, i.e. Aging Orders, and Overdue hours, "Confirmed not Delivered" orders, floor stock inventory control, and the resolving of material shortages as they’re late to open production orders
• Determine stock availability, assess material source (in-house vs external) and requirements for non-standard parts, and create acquisition requests
• Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements
• Initiate material procurement and manage procurement processing
• Review material depletion analysis to provide specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment positioning
• Manage and control asset locations and allocation of customer inventories and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
• Monitor inventory and material allocations for accuracy
• Support various DOD and commercial customers in a depot environment

Additionally, a Sr Principal Manufacturing Analyst

• Support Production/Sustainment business, and cross-functional processes in a team-based manufacturing environment
• Work across areas such as production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing engineering, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering
• Facilitate and participate in self-directed work teams to achieve operational and quality objectives
• Provide training and coaching in core skill areas to team members and peers
• Partner with internal and external customers on product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications - Principal Manufacturing Analyst

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, 9 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field Experience in a manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
• Experience with MRP/ERP business system
• Experience in MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skills, "digital visionary"
• Experienced in leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors
• Experience effectively managing changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately in a challenging environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship required

Basic Qualifications - Senior Principal Manufacturing Analyst

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, Master's degree with 6 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field, 12 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, MRP, Production Control, Supply Chain or related field maybe considered in lieu of degree requirement
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience utilizing MRP/ERP business system
• Experience in MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skills, "digital visionary"
• Experienced in leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors
• Experience effectively managing changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately in a challenging environment
• Experience leading people or projects across functional teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
