Overview

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and algorithms that address complex healthcare challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and healthcare professionals, to create impactful solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency. Your expertise in machine learning, software engineering, and healthcare applications will be crucial in driving our projects to success.

Your impact:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable machine learning models and algorithms using best practices in software engineering. Ensure that the solutions are maintainable, efficient, and well-documented.
  • Integration: Work closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into the company's existing software infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns that can inform model development and optimization.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and healthcare professionals to understand project requirements, define objectives, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and healthcare technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the company.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize machine learning models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, ensuring they meet the performance requirements of healthcare applications.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machine learning engineers and software engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of model development processes, methodologies, and results to ensure transparency and reproducibility.

What you bring:

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in machine learning and software engineering, with a focus on healthcare applications. Proven track record of successfully deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Strong software engineering skills, including knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control, and testing.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare data, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare datasets is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and contribute to the success of the team.
