Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a candidate to maintain program training material across multiple system architectures and to develop and improve training products, procedures, and processes. The role includes checking out new baseline updates on the simulator to create required training updates and owning training scripts for initializing the simulator.

Qualifications

  • Approved STEM Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, OR STEM Master’s with 3 years, OR STEM PhD with 1 year.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance, SCI access, and Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • Ability to work off and/or extended hours covering a 24/7 schedule with rotating 12‑hour shifts.
  • Proven leadership experience on a project or team, and proficiency with MS Office tools.

In This Job, You Will
  • Maintenance of program training material related to multiple system architectures.
  • Development and improvement of training products, procedures, and processes.
  • Checkout of new baseline updates on the simulator to create required training updates.
  • Ownership of training suite of scripts used to initialize the simulator into an operations‑like configuration, responsible for updating and maintaining training scripts.
  • Ability to work off and or/extended hours covering a 24/7 period of periodic rotating 12‑hour shifts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency utilizing the software SIM to train classes.
  • Cross‑train into operations engineering to update products and attain crew certifications.
  • May involve periodic rotating crew shifts to maintain proficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Basic Qualifications
  • Approved STEM Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – Approved STEM PhD with 1 year of professional experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance, SCI access, and complete a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination prior to start.
  • Ability to work off and or/extended hours covering a 24/7 period of periodic rotating 12‑hour shifts.
  • Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
  • Ability to utilize MS Office Tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint to execute responsibilities as needed within the role (presentations, internal/external communications, data, collection, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical material to an audience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain operational procedures, products, and training materials.
  • Familiarity and practical use with Matlab, Python, and Perl scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with Linux.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
