Qualifications

• PhD degree in optoelectronics or other relevant major with industry experience is minimum requirement.
• Experience with MBE or MOCVD growth of III/V semiconductor material, preferred GaAs VCSEL devices.
• Experience with semiconductor wafer analysis techniques such as PL, Reflectance, SIMS, XRD, ECV profiling.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, laser diode testing and wafer process technology.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, Minitab) and processing (Python, Matlab).
• Excellent ability to work in cross-functional teams and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with device designers to develop epitaxial growth recipes for performance targets.
• Translate designs into EPI growth recipes and manage internal or external growers.
• Review calibration data and feedback into EPI design improvements.
• Launch process runs with wafer process integration teams and analyze reliability data.
• Coordinate EPI-related analyses (SIMS, TEM, EDX) for performance understanding.
• Generate IP for novel ideas in device design or EPI designs.
