Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer for our JUDI program. If you are a software leader with experience influencing others, this might be the role for you!

The Software Engineer Principal IT is responsible for designing technology solutions that meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional, and operational readiness use cases. This role involves ongoing development, maintenance, support, and architecture of existing systems and platforms. It also provides thought leadership, champions software architecture, engineering best practices, innovative solutions, and Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design technology solutions to meet resiliency, stability, and operational readiness needs
• Develop, maintain, and support existing systems and platforms
• Lead and promote software engineering best practices, innovative solutions, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
• Participate in staffing plans and provide feedback for performance reviews
• Own technology solutions, including proactive monitoring, alerting, and communicating system health and sustainability
• Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure optimal system design and evolution
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 8 years of extensive technical experience in application development or software implementation
• Continuous education in technology trends
• Experience with multiple development and support methodologies
• Ability to lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback within a team
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Technical Skills

• Experience with GCP, AWS, and Redshift
• Proficiency in Java full stack development
• Strong database skills with MongoDB, Postgres, or similar
• Experience with WS02 and Dynatrace
