DIRECTV is seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer (ForgeRock Dev Lead) to design and develop end-to-end solutions, managing dependencies and cross-team impacts. This role is responsible for planning short-term (sprint-to-sprint) and long-term (multiple PI) initiatives, organizing work and designs to meet the long-term targets.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Mentor and guide team members on the Scrum or development team by providing insight into technical approaches.
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed by the development team and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure applications meet performance standards.
- Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define future state application environments and plan for retiring applications.
- Develop and manage budgets for sustaining and enhancing projects across the Corporate Systems team.
- Oversee the integration team facilitating transactions among Corporate Systems applications and external sources.
- Manage risks and escalate to leadership when necessary to meet commitments or change directions.
- Promote best practices within the development community by educating peers.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of software delivery experience in an agile environment, supporting mobile-first, cloud-based applications.
- Good understanding of ForgeRock platform access and identity management.
- Hands-on experience developing ForgeRock journeys focusing on SSO, Access Management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor Authentication, Risk-based Authentication, etc.
- Experience with NodeJS and ReactJS frameworks.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP web services is preferred.
- Knowledge of tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Mockito is a plus.
- Experience deploying and debugging AWS-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a bias for action.
- Independent problem solver with a customer-focused approach.

This role may require occasional travel, less than 5%.

- WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415
- Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995
- Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100
- High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310
- Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
