DIRECTV is seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer (ForgeRock Dev Lead) to design and develop end-to-end solutions, managing dependencies and cross-team impacts. This role is responsible for planning short-term (sprint-to-sprint) and long-term (multiple PI) initiatives, organizing work and designs to meet the long-term targets.

Here’s what you’ll do:

1. Mentor and guide team members on the Scrum or development team by providing insight into technical approaches.
2. Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed by the development team and participate in code reviews.
3. Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure applications meet performance standards.
4. Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define future state application environments and plan for retiring applications.
5. Develop and manage budgets for sustaining and enhancing projects across the Corporate Systems team.
6. Oversee the integration team facilitating transactions among Corporate Systems applications and external sources.
7. Manage risks and escalate to leadership when necessary to meet commitments or change directions.
8. Promote best practices within the development community by educating peers.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of software delivery experience in an agile environment, supporting mobile-first, cloud-based applications.
• Good understanding of ForgeRock platform access and identity management.
• Hands-on experience developing ForgeRock journeys focusing on SSO, Access Management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor Authentication, Risk-based Authentication, etc.
• Experience with NodeJS and ReactJS frameworks.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP web services is preferred.
• Knowledge of tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Mockito is a plus.
• Experience deploying and debugging AWS-based applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a bias for action.
• Independent problem solver with a customer-focused approach.
• Background check may be required due to access to proprietary data; qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered in accordance with laws.

This role may require occasional travel, less than 5%.

• WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415
• Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995
• Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100
• High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310
• Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
