DIRECTV is seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer (ForgeRock Dev Lead)
to design and develop end-to-end solutions, managing dependencies and cross-team impacts. This role is responsible for planning short-term (sprint-to-sprint) and long-term (multiple PI) initiatives and organizing work and designs to meet the long-term targets.
Here’s what you’ll do :
- Mentor and guide team members on the Scrum team or development team by providing insight into technical approaches.
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed by the development team and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure applications meet performance standards.
- Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define DIRECTV's future state application environments and plan for exiting applications.
- Develop and manage budgets for sustaining and enhancing projects across the Corporate Systems team.
- Oversee the integration team facilitating transactions among Corporate Systems applications and external sources.
- Manage risks and escalate issues to leadership when necessary to meet commitments or change directions.
- Participate in the development community to promote best practices through peer education.
What you’ll need to be successful :
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of software delivery experience in an agile environment, supporting mobile-first, cloud-based applications.
- Good understanding of ForgeRock platform access and identity management.
- Hands-on experience developing ForgeRock journeys focusing on SSO, Access Management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor Authentication, Risk-based Authentication, etc.
- Experience with NodeJS and ReactJS frameworks.
- Skilled in working with REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience with Postman, SOAPUI, Mockito is preferred.
- Experience deploying and debugging AWS-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive approach.
- Independent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.

This role may require occasional travel, less than 5%.
