The position is permanent, onsite in Fresno five days a week.

We are seeking an experienced Principal IT Business Applications professional with deep Workday expertise to lead the technical architecture, integration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of enterprise business applications in a full-time, onsite role in Fresno, California. In this senior individual-contributor and leadership capacity, the ideal candidate will own the Workday technology roadmap and deliver scalable, secure, and integrated solutions spanning HCM, Benefits, Finance, Payroll, and related enterprise systems. The successful candidate brings more than 12 years of enterprise application experience, a strong command of integration patterns and security administration, and a proven track record of partnering with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders to drive meaningful system improvements.

Annual Salary: $140,000 to $200,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

• Lead the solution architecture, configuration, and technical support of the Workday platform across HCM, Benefits, Finance, Payroll, and related modules.
• Develop and manage the Workday program roadmap, aligning system initiatives with business and technology objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations, interfaces, APIs, middleware connections, and data exchanges with Payroll, Finance, benefits providers, and other enterprise platforms.
• Manage Workday security administration, role-based access controls, audit requirements, and organizational compliance.
• Establish and oversee program-management practices including project planning, governance, risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting.
• Partner with HRIS, HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for system and workflow improvement.
• Oversee Workday releases, system updates, testing, deployments, and technical change-management activities.
• Monitor system performance, data integrity, integration reliability, and issue resolution across the Workday environment.
• Translate functional and business requirements into scalable technical architectures and actionable multi-year implementation plans.
• Mentor team members and lead cross-functional technical initiatives, vendor relationships, and continuous-improvement efforts while creating and maintaining user documentation and training materials to support end-user adoption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 12 years of experience supporting enterprise business applications.
• Significant hands-on experience within Workday environments, including HCM, Benefits, integrations, and related modules.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and integration patterns including APIs, middleware, interfaces, and data flows.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting Workday integrations with Payroll, Finance, benefits providers, and other enterprise systems.
• Experience administering Workday security, role-based permissions, compliance controls, and audit requirements.
• Proven success managing large-scale programs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience overseeing project governance, risk management, executive reporting, release management, and technical change management.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and multi-year technology roadmaps.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with close attention to system security, compliance, data integrity, and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work onsite five days per week.

• Ability to work onsite in an office environment five days per week.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer workstation.
• Ability to occasionally move through office spaces to attend meetings or collaborate with team members.
• Visual acuity sufficient to read detailed system documentation, reports, and screen-based data for extended periods.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
