Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Alaska Teacher Certificate required; Class C certificate.
• Three years of experience in education preferred.
• Inupiaq, Language, History & Culture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in subject matter areas of certification and assignment.
• Assess student proficiency and plan short and long-range programs using data to evaluate instructional strategies.
• Promote harmonious relationships with students, parents, supervisors, administrators, staff, and community members.
• Develop awareness of local culture and provide bicultural or multicultural instruction.
• Write and submit weekly lesson plans and maintain digital copies.
• Adhere to all District policies and regulations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education

Master’s Degree preferred

Alaska Teacher Certificate

Class C certificate

Three years of experience in education preferred
