Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Infrastructure Architect to be responsible for shaping and driving enterprise-wide infrastructure strategy and architecture decisions. The Lead Infrastructure Architect will engage with senior leadership, including SVPs, VPs, and C-level executives, to present strategies, articulate technical visions, and drive consensus on architecture decisions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in infrastructure, multi-platform environments, and enterprise architecture, with a proven ability to lead high-visibility, transformative initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and drive the enterprise infrastructure strategy, aligning with organizational goals and ensuring scalability, resilience, and innovation across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
2. Enterprise Architecture: Design and deliver complex, multi-platform architectures, producing high-quality diagrams, documentation, and trend analyses to support decision-making and long-term planning.
3. Solutions Architecture: Lead the development of solutions architecture for multi-million-dollar initiatives, ensuring robust, scalable, and cost-effective designs that meet business and technical requirements.
4. Hybrid Cloud Expertise: Architect and optimize infrastructure across hybrid cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises systems, balancing performance, cost, and operational needs.
5. Executive Engagement: Present strategies, architectures, and technical recommendations to senior leadership (SVPs, VPs, C-level), effectively communicating complex concepts and building consensus.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, operations, security, and business teams to ensure architecture aligns with organizational priorities and operational realities.
7. Technical Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to architecture and engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior-level role leading enterprise-wide architecture initiatives at a large, complex organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions architecture for multi-million-dollar projects, with demonstrated success in high-stakes, high-visibility environments.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in multi-platform infrastructure architecture, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in hybrid cloud architecture, including integration of on-premises systems with cloud platforms.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategies to C-level executives and senior leadership in a clear, polished, and compelling manner.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop and drive company-wide initiatives that balance innovation, cost, and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across diverse teams.

• Background in industries with high complexity and scale (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology, or retail).
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
