Job summary
American Express Global Business Travel seeks a Principal IAM AI Engineer to design scalable identity architectures for AI agents and humans, embedding identity controls in AI initiatives from day one. You will lead a technical team to implement authentication, authorization, and credential management across on-prem and cloud environments.
The role emphasizes collaboration with AI security, risk, and product teams, delivering policy-driven, least-privilege access with IaC governance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in IAM/cybersecurity with architect or principal experience.
- Designs for non-human identities and workload access at enterprise scale.
- Strong AWS identity design and multi-account experience.
- Hands-on with Okta and Saviynt or equivalents.
- Experience with PAM platforms like CyberArk and Vault.
Responsibilities
- Develop and govern enterprise IAM security programs and policies.
- Architect authentication, authorization, and secret management across AI workloads.
- Lead a team delivering machine identity and agent IAM capabilities.
- Collaborate with AI, security, and engineering teams from design to deployment.
- Ensure compliance, audit readiness and risk alignment.
