Alcon is seeking a Principal I, Computational Modeling & Simulation Engineer to advance SI/PI and EM analysis for electronic and electromechanical medical devices. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce prototyping, speed validation, and support regulatory submissions.

The role emphasizes signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level modeling across the product lifecycle, with on-site work in Lake Forest, CA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
Fluent read/write/understand English
5 Years of Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed interfaces (DDR4/5, MIPI, USB).
Develop simulation models to evaluate channel performance, impedance, crosstalk, timing margins, and power delivery networks.
Support sign-off activities and provide design recommendations to improve electrical performance and robustness.
Conduct pre-layout and post-layout analyses for PCB and package designs.
Develop and validate electrical simulation models for varying operating conditions.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, reliability, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
