Lynx Software Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Principal HW/SW Integration Engineer Lead to drive hardware/software integration across subsystems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE and Simulation activities, and ensure interfaces meet requirements. This role requires an Active Secret Clearance, 8+ years of systems engineering experience, and the ability to work onsite 100% with occasional travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HW/SW integration activities at MSV Main Subsystem Vehicle or Key Vehicle level.
• Coordinate across SW/HW teams to ensure vehicle functions are as intended.
• Include FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE, and Simulation.
• Where HW touches, SW is within purview for integration tasks.
• Delegate tasks to SEIT, Avionics, Firmware, Software, EGSE, STE, Testbed, and POCs.
• Drive completion of unresolved interfaces and ERB changes.
• Support interface documentation reviews (internal, SDRL, CDRL).
• Focus on test labs and hands-on integration and V&V from a holistic view.
• Ensure hardware fidelity, simulate models, and resolve deficiencies.

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Principal HW/SW Integration Engineer Lead who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrow’s problems. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead (HW/SW) Hardware / Software Subsystem integration activities at the Holistic (MSV) Main Subsystem Vehicle or (KV) Key Vehicle level.
• Coordinate across various SW/HW teams to ensure vehicle functions are as intended.

• o This includes FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE, and Simulation.
• o Wherever HW touches, SW is within purview and a potential area for integration activities.

The expectation of this role will have authority to delegate tasks to the appropriate SEIT, Avionics, Firmware, Software, EGSE, STE, Testbed, and Test POCs.

• Drive completion of any unresolved system level HW/SW interfaces and /or changes related to ERB.
• Drive completion of subsystem level interface documents/models.
• Support relevant interface documentation reviews which include internal, SDRL, and CDRL.
• Focus on test labs and hands on successful integration and V&V activities from a holistic perspective.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline or related experience.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on systems-level development testing and integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
• Experience with I&T integration and test.
• Experience developing and executing system-level and HIL test procedures
• Strong understanding of requirements verification and validation processes
• Experience troubleshooting integrated HW/SW systems in a lab environment
• Ability to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with clients and peers
• Active Secret Clearance Required
• Ability to work onsite 100%
• Ability to Travel up to 25%

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo, AADL)
• Experience with Signal Processing Implementation
• Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
