What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead study design, protocol development, and analysis of healthcare claims data for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Act as the primary SAS programmer for the neurosciences team, performing advanced data programming and infrastructure setup
- Develop best practices for data manipulation within the Neuroscience HEOR team
- Address strategic business questions through analysis of internal and external data sources
- Prepare and present complex analysis results tailored to various internal and external audiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in health economics and outcomes research, or 5 years with an advanced degree
- Proficiency in SAS programming
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team in a matrixed organization
- Experience analyzing large administrative claims or EHR databases with statistical software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, or Computer Science
- Familiarity with advanced predictive modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms
- Strong business communication and presentation skills, both in-person and remote
- Basic knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10-CM, CPT, NDC)
- Experience in the healthcare industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or insurance)
