Infleqtion in Boulder is seeking a Principal Technical Specialist to provide hands-on stewardship across optical and electronics labs. You will support reliable hardware inspection, assembly, integration and test, while ensuring workflows and documentation meet high standards.

You will independently perform practical lab work, teach workmanship, and help optimize instructions and procedures. The role demands strong organization, safety, and collaboration with engineers and scientists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 8+ years hands-on technical experience; experience in optical/electronics labs.
• Experience performing incoming inspection and interpreting drawings/specifications.
• Cable and harness fabrication, inspection and testing.
• Proficiency with soldering, optical inspection and safety controls.
• Ability to use common lab test equipment (DMMs, scopes, power supplies).
• Ability to document work clearly for engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of optical/electronic components and small subsystems; record results and identify discrepancies.
• Build, inspect, test, repair, and document cables and harnesses for lab/system use.
• Troubleshoot electrical, communication, and physical connections; partner with engineers to isolate root causes.
• Organize and maintain lab spaces with clear labeling and workflows.
• Soldering, optical inspection, component handling, and related hands‑on work to safety standards.
• Teach and coach team members while performing the work; improve assembly instructions and test procedures.
• Review and improve technical documentation for clarity and usability.
• Maintain awareness of lab hardware, tools, and equipment usage and handling.
• Identify workmanship risks and process gaps; resolve or escalate as needed.
• Support cross‑functional prototype and product assembly, integration, testing.
