ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer with strong experience in HDI PCB Design, and blind and buried vias. The engineer will help develop cutting-edge embedded hardware systems with our client in the Lehi area. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment and bring deep expertise in high-density PCB design.

Skills and Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience designing electronics hardware
• 5+ years of HDI PCB design/layout experience with complex stack-up configurations
• Blind and buried vias
• Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with Altium 365 Workspaces
• Familiarity with interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Ability to anticipate firmware integration needs during hardware development
• Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test embedded hardware systems
• Create and maintain HDI and non-HDI PCB designs in Altium Designer
• Troubleshoot, integrate, and verify hardware functionality
• Participate in peer reviews across engineering teams
• Document design decisions and testing outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment
• Work closely with external partners like contract manufacturers and PCB vendors
