Job description

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer with extensive experience in HDI PCB Design, including Blind and Buried vias. The engineer will develop advanced embedded hardware systems for our client in Lehi, thriving in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment with deep expertise in high-density PCB design.

Skills and Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years designing electronics hardware
  • 5+ years in HDI PCB design/layout with complex stack-ups
  • Experience with Blind and Buried vias
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer and Altium 365 Workspaces
  • Knowledge of interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Ability to anticipate firmware integration needs
  • Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test embedded hardware systems
  • Create and maintain HDI and non-HDI PCB designs in Altium Designer
  • Troubleshoot, integrate, and verify hardware functionality
  • Participate in peer reviews
  • Document design decisions and testing outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
